Being a CLS!
As a Community Living Supervisor, here are some of the things you’ll do:
• Supervise residential and in-home services by mentoring, coaching, auditing, and assisting in scheduling staff.
• Maintain a professional working relationship with people supported, families, guardians, staff, the community, and other agencies.
• Act as an internal case manager and serve as liaison to external case managers.
• Assure assessments are complete and implemented.
• Evaluate and verify employee performance through the review of completed work assignments and techniques.
• Serve as a role model and mentor.

Qualifications
The successful candidate must meet the following qualifications in order to be considered for employment with Oahe, Inc.
• Be at least 18 years of age
• High School diploma, or GED
• Valid South Dakota driver’s license
• Insurable under the agency’s auto insurance policy
• Must pass mandatory drug screening, criminal background check, Medicaid/Medicare fraud check, and an employment history information verification

Our CLSs must also be able to perform physical demands such as sitting, standing, lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling; some climbing and balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and significant fine motor dexterity.
